16 September 2026
Offline languages are no longer packaged as one bundle with the installer — each language now downloads as its own file, so you only need to fetch the ones you actually use, and updates to a single language no longer mean re-downloading every language you have installed. Added Hindi as an offline language: install its pack from the downloads list above and select it from the language menu like any other language, for both live transcription and offline translation.
13 September 2026
Users frequently encountered the tedious requirement of manually entering a license key.
11 September 2026
Fixed a licensing issue where a valid licence key could be rejected on activation, leaving the app stuck in an unlicensed state even though the key itself was correct.
9 September 2026
Added Dutch, bringing the language list to nine. Offline translation now works for every language pair — pairs with no direct model, such as French to Spanish or Turkish to Mandarin, are routed through English instead of failing to start. Switching or plugging in a microphone mid-session is now picked up automatically, and the session moves to the new device without a restart; the device in use is shown while you record. The full-screen caption window is properly transparent, so it sits over whatever is behind it, and captions can be placed at the top, middle, or bottom, with a dark panel, a gold panel, or no panel at all. Added a font picker for captions. Offline model packaging is now generated from the language list, so a language can no longer appear in the app without its offline models — this is what left Mandarin and Turkish unusable offline in earlier builds. An unrecognised saved language now reports an error instead of quietly falling back, which could previously produce Persian output from English speech.
9 September 2026
The window title bar now matches the app's gold. Older Windows versions keep the standard title bar.
9 September 2026
Added the MithraVoice icon to the window, the taskbar, and the installer. Installed Apps now lists MithraVoice with its own icon and without a version number appended to the name.
8 September 2026
Added a connection indicator beside the hours counter: green while the online engine is running, grey while you are offline. Fixed caption alignment and punctuation — each line is now laid out according to the script it contains, so English no longer renders right-aligned when the language pair is reversed. A missing offline model is now reported as an offline engine problem rather than a microphone problem, and if the offline engine fails while taking over from the online engine, the app now says so instead of ending up with no engine and no explanation.
8 September 2026
Earliest release covered by these notes. Live transcription and translation with both the online and offline engines, licence activation, and monthly online-hours metering with the hours counter in the app.
Older releases are no longer distributed. If you need a specific earlier build, get in touch.
